OUR STORY
Simon Says is an innovative new Nashville men’s clothier located in the hyper hip Wedgewood Houston neighborhood, just steps away from Soho House in the Standard Assembly Building. We will celebrate with several private events leading up to a Grand Opening this Fall.
Proprietor Stephanie Simon (formerly of H Bar C and Two Old Hippies) has a vision to offer high-quality brands that are not typically found in Nashville and to feature local artisans, creating a unique destination shopping experience. In her previous roles, she has dressed Marcus King, Robert Plant, Midland, and many more for red carpets, album releases and award shows.
The designers Simon Says will carry and introduce to Nashville range from international menswear juggernauts like John Varvatos, Nudie Jeans, L Sussi, Mavi Jeans, United Rivers, to Nashville local artisans like Dixon and Jack and Semplice Designs. This list also includes local haberdasher Jake Hillenbrand, whose brand Hillenbrand Hat Co started in 2018 out of pure fascination with the craft. Jake’s attention to detail will be on full display with an array of bespoke fur felt hats as well as ready-to-wear hats for in-store customization.
Meet Stephanie Simon (Owner) who has always been passionate about art and the finer things in life. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Motion Pictures and Television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and initially worked in independent film production. During this period, Stephanie discovered a deep love for the fashion industry, which led her to work with several top boutiques in San Francisco before relocating to Nashville.
In Nashville, Stephanie quickly made her mark at the renowned boutique Two Old Hippies. When the store closed due to the pandemic, she pivoted to western wear with the well-known H Bar C brand, where she took on various roles in management, design, and brand promotion within the entertainment industry. Identifying a gap in the market, Stephanie decided to pursue her dream of opening her own menswear boutique. She’s thrilled to see this curation come to life and can’t wait to see these pieces out in the wild.
Meet Andy Burns (COO), who has led an exceptionally varied life, exploring numerous professions and residing in several states across the U.S. Born in Clearwater, FL, he has caddied on the southern Oregon Coast, studied history at the University of Arizona, and hosted a talk radio show on SiriusXM. Although he’s often thought of as a California Bay Area boy, Nashville is now where he calls home. With a range of passions including motorcycle racing, golf, bowling, disc golf, scuba diving, and gourmet food, Andy is now teaming up with his partner to help her achieve her fashion industry dreams. As the Chief of Operations for Simon Says, he will play a crucial role behind the scenes.
